About the Role:
Join a purpose-driven, multicultural organization that helps newcomers and Canadians reach their full potential. The Program Officer supports the Spanish-language portfolio of the S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Help Lines, a volunteer-run service offering emotional support and community referrals. This role provides administrative coordination, volunteer management, and outreach support to ensure smooth daily operations.
Responsibilities:
Recruit, screen, train, and support volunteers for Help Lines services.
Maintain volunteer records and assist in developing training materials.
Promote the program through community outreach, events, and partnerships.
Compile reports, track statistics, and assist with agency-wide events.
Liaise between the Program Manager and volunteers to ensure effective delivery.
Qualifications:
Post-secondary diploma in a related field (psychology or counselling an asset).
Experience in volunteer coordination and non-profit program delivery.
Knowledge of crisis or distress line procedures an asset.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and facilitation skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Intermediate Spanish fluency considered an asset.
Proficient in MS Office and online meeting tools
Additional Details:
Evening or weekend availability may be required.
Criminal Record Check mandatory.
Hybrid or in-person work within Vancouver region.
